GOD'S SURROGATE
Written By: Tiffanie Thomas

In 2012 I went through a very difficult high risk pregnancy that resulted in my second son, Lexton, being born 15 weeks prematurely. It was my experience from the complicated pregnancy, birth, and aftermath of Lexton that my book, God's Surrogate, was born. I'd kept journal entries and Facebook posts chronicling the events of that time. Then out of the blue the Lord placed it on my heart to write a book that could be shared with the world. Every word in this book is God-breathed. From the title to the concept itself, I can't take credit for any of it.
As I was writing this book I thought it would be something to help moms who, like me, had to bury their children. But as the book evolved I found that my process, my journey, was not unique. What God was revealing to me through this book was that everyone experiences this same journey when recovering from a spiritual surgery. Just like in the natural, when one goes through a major surgery they are left with an incision that needs healing. The same is true spiritually. The "surgery" being some potentially life-altering event such as divorce, illness, or in my case; a death. Whatever the surgery is, the recovery and healing process is the same. In my book, God's Surrogate, I share my personal journey to complete healing and restoration following my "surgery" as well as give others the blueprint that God gave me so that regardless the circumstance, they too can get to "The Itch".

"I cried, I laughed, and REMEMBERED! You told Lexton's life story, his mission here on earth in such a way that that I could not put the book down until I had finished it even though I knew how it would end. I thank the Lord that He brought you and your family into my life, and gave you the gift of writing." -Luvada M.
"I thoroughly enjoyed reading "God's Surrogate". I don't share a similar experience; however, life presents all of us with challenges and difficult situations. As I read the book I was constantly reminded of God's unfailing love and mercy in spite of our troubles." -Yolanda H.
"This book is excellent! Definitely a must read. I went through a similar situation twice and I felt everything the author wrote like I was on the journey right with her. I laughed, cried, rejoiced and mourned while reading the book. I love how the author conveyed her story she didn't leave a dull moment. I couldn't even put the book down. If you know someone going through an emotional time and needs to lean on God this book is definitely for them. You don't even have to necessarily have a premature baby or baby with an illness to relate to the book or even be touched by it. The author was truly an inspiration to me and through her story and tears she exuded God's strength, his grace and mercy, but also she demonstrates so wonderfully what faith looks like and when you depend on God no matter what your situation He will give you peace. This is truly a must read and I give it a 100 stars!!!!" -Jovanna R.
